There are many different campus resources to help you succeed here UCSC:

Academic Resources:

  • Learning Support Services Located in the ARC building, services provided include Modified Supplemental Instruction (MSI), a form of group tutoring for selected classes. Additionally, subject-specific and writing tutoring for all UCSC students are provided, and employment opportunities for all UCSC students.
  • Disability Resource Center This center provides accommodations for those with registered disabilities, as well as employment opportunities for all UCSC students.

Health Services:

  • Student Health Center Provides comprehensive health care to students who have the school's health insurance, USHIP. Even if you don't have USHIP, there are free self-screenings, among other services.
  • Counseling and Psychological Services  Provides crisis counseling, support groups, self-help resources and other services.
  • Campus Advocacy Resource & Education (CARE) Provides nonjudgmental support and resources for survivors of sexual assault, dating/domestic violence, and stalking, and their significant others.
  • Student Health Outreach & Promotion (SHOP) SHOP offers information, education, resources and support on issues such as Alcohol and other Drug Use, Sexually Transmitted Infections and Sexual Health, and College Life balance.

Resource Centers:
